hello all, i am currently a marine girlfriend and i just wrote a song about deployment (copyrighted and working on the music for it) and was wondering what all the marine wives, girlfriends, and fiancees think about it. does it hit the feelings you have while your marine is away? any suggestions or improvements? i'm open to any kind of criticism good or bad :] the music is probably going to be in the genre of country, with an Acoustic guitar, and definitely a ballad.

I have a stainless steel pullup bar here at the house, I've gotten use to the Marine pull up bars on base that are wrapped in tape and the foam grips that came with mine feel funny. Does anybody know what the name of the tape to wrap the bar is called and where I can find it?
Go to a sporting goods store. There are a lot of similar tapes that various atheletes use for injuries; these should work.
A slick pull-up bar (bare metal bar) will work your forearms more and strengthen.
If you add a grippy tape, then the forearms will get less of a workout, but this may allow you to work other muscles (back and biceps) harder. I know that tape rock climbers use will make the bar easier to grip.
Gymnast use a lot of tape as well, but since their moves often involve spinning around the bar, their tape may not be as grippy.
Buy the wide (1.5-3 inch) tape.
