My boyfriend is AD in the Marines. Since the body fat requirements were changed from 22% to 18%, my bf needs to lose about 15 pounds. He used to make weight, specially since he always runs first class PFT’s. He already PT’s a lot, during mornings and at lunch, and I’ve already told him to start watching what he eats. He has until Feb. 19th to lose it, and he said no matter how hard he PT’s he cant seem to lose the weight.

I was wondering if anyone knew any tricks or anything to help him make it? I know that people do the prep H/seran wrap thing but does that actually work? I also suggested to him maybe getting some stuff that cleanses his colon out (since its good for him to do anyway). Any other suggestions? Anything would help. Thanks :)

ok, a few suggestions….

1. if he is overweight he should be able to lose a few pounds (and maybe more) of water weight the 24 hours before the weigh in.

2. Has he been exposed to radiation, deployed or have a family history of hypothyroidism? or some other ailment that would hinder him losing weight?

3. If he is limiting his caloric intake and working out, there is no reason he shouldn’t lose weight unless there is a medical reason.

4. DO NOT lift weights until you lose the 15! that can increase your weight. IMO 18% is way too high. Exercise in the evening also, do not eat after 6PM, no alcohol! Count every calorie.

If he is limiting what he eats and exercising he should lose weight, if not he needs to get checked by a doctor. It is impossible to not lose weight if you are burning more then you are taking in without a medical reason.
